Practice Groups
where integration is the focus

Joining a practice group is an effective way to dive deeper into self-connection and gain more understanding about how to shift from the habitual mind to the intentional mind. Meeting weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, participants have the opportunity to practice in community with the support of my facilitation and our group agreements, creating a space where we contribute to each other's needs for inspiration, learning, growth, safety, acceptance, and belonging.

After many years of learning about Compassionate Communication skills in NVC workshops, trainings, and mentoring, I finally had a sense of integration when I began doing the weekly practices found in the Compassion Course Online with Thom Bond.

It is the daily practice of this skillset that enables me to take these concepts from a cognitive understanding to an embodied appreciation for how deeper self-connection allows and motivates me to take 100% responsibility for my feelings and needs. From this place of deeper self-connection, possibilities abound.

I have studied non-violent communication for several years, and I consider myself to have a substantial amount of NVC communication skills under my belt. So I am not only grateful, but stunned, by how much attending Cathan's Compassion Course practice group has helped my understanding and skills grow.

Cathan teaches with such clarity and simplicity that concepts I had been struggling to understand became crystal clear. I experienced moments of personal growth in the practice groups when, doing an exercise supported by Cathan’s coaching, prompting, and safety of the space she creates, I dared to explore parts of myself that I never would have felt safe enough to explore alone.

I recommend joining a practice group with Cathan for anyone who wants to learn this NVC process of communication that reaches not only outward to others, but also inward to the depths of one’s own heart.
